Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was born in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Sergey (d.2019) was an in ice hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was born in Minsk, Belarus on May 5th of 1998. Aryna Sabalenka has 12 WTA Singles titles, one that was awarded the title Grand Slam during the Australian Open 2023. Her doubles game is excellent and she has also won Majors at the US Open (2019) and Australian Open (2021), both with Elise Mertens. In 2019, she took home two majors, in the WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian teammate, and completed what is known as the Sunshine Double. The women's doubles had only four couples achieve this feat. The 23rd of August, 2021 was the day she was ranked second in the world singles ranking her top ranking again in the month of January in 2023. When she played doubles, she managed to push herself up to first place at the beginning of February that year, following the win in Melbourne making her the second tennis player born in Belarus to achieve success in this particular area. Dmitry Tursunov (a former Russian tennis player) coached her for part of the 2019 season as well as from the year 2018 until close of the season. Dieter Kindlmann was the coach for her from the month of August to September of 2020. She is being trained by her countryman Antonio Dubrov since the end of 2020. Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova were her idols.
